Etermar, in collaboration with WavEC, INESC TEC and Fórum Oceano, has begun construction of a prototype that reinforces Portugal’s role in offshore wind energy.
It is a floating concrete platform to support wind turbines at sea, an innovative solution that draws on Portuguese knowledge and industrial capacity in a strategic area for the energy transition.
With this project, the partners are putting their experience in maritime construction at the service of a technology that can be produced in Portugal and exported to other markets.
ATE reinforces the importance of this concrete step in affirming Portugal as a country capable of developing its own solutions for clean energy, strengthening national industry and creating new economic opportunities.
With the start of this construction, we are taking another firm step towards turning potential into reality and accelerating the energy transition.
